I've got 110cc of raw power in the form of a Honda Air Blade and I'll be collecting my recently purchased 2010 HD 1200 Nightster from Bangkok next Tuesday on my return from offshore - can't wait, I'll be riding it down to Krabi.

I'll post a picture once I've worked out how to...

It was time to get the RC8 out the other weekend as it's warmed up a bit in the UK...

So of I went to the KTM shop and got this...

1227205435_QdenE-M.jpg

He gave me 7k for my RC8..... I had been offered 5-8 so i took his hand off..

I got a further 600 quid of the bike and a deal on some luggage, I'm so happy with the bike

What was I doing riding sports bikes.....this is so comfortable and you can really move it around..

Even with my short legs I have no problem.....

Oh and it has the grunt of V8 Scania...and will top out about 140...

Which ways Thailand....

Scott - who rides an Honda XR400 here in Thailand, showing what he can do with his CBR900 back in the USA!

Chris,

That's a nice bike, you should ride it all the way to Malaysia mate.

This bike has been in a Garage unused for 13 years....10k on the Clock...

Cleaned the fuel system out replaced the battery and kicked her over...Oh dear..

Turns out the plug cap was knackerd, so I nicked one of my Xs and boom she starts..

Runs like a new one. :D

New back tyre and a few tweeks and she's of for an MOT next week..then I'l clean it

Looks like an interesting project Chris, howz getting parts?

My latest addition another 2007 Suzuki DRZ 400SM with enduro wheels.
View attachment 854

Great fun for trail riding in Thailand, Laos & Cambodia. The side stand is too short with the 21" front wheel added to the front, will have to get it lengthened.

Ive drowned it already, its been flushed and runs great. I'm adding a kick start as there's a lot of stalling during steep red clay mussy hills, stupid to get stuck just because you're in an environment that you can't bump start it.

No problem getting pats for these old girls... http://www.ost2rad.de

If I cant get it locally then the above link have it all, the dealer that sold the bike in London in the 80's
is still open .....and carries most things....

Great to have a 2 stroke again... :D

Great looking project Martin. Can you start your own thread so we can see and comment on your progress?

One more DRZ to the flock, now have 3 Suzuki DRZ 400's.

[attachment=0:3y71n3he]yellow and black DRZ's in Leks oickup.jpg[/attachment:3y71n3he]

Always seem to have one at the mechanic or left up the mountain, so good to have 3.

My Rides, here in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The Harley XR1200 is my soulful ride. At the price it is sold here ( USD40,000 Equivalent) its way too expensive, but I have always been a closet Harley fan, and when they made one that can turn, stop and go, I fell for it.....

The GP800 is a VTwin 800cc scooter that tops out 210km/h easily and is a great tourer. I also use it to play with the sportsbikes in the hills of Genting, just outside Kuala umpur. A Hoot to ride, and with 80hp it accelerates like a scalded cat, and when there's a need to stop, there's three Brembos I can depend on.

The R1200GS is should be mandatory in any multibike garage, and more so if its your only bike. It can tour two up, play with sportsbikes in the corners, able to take significant bashing in the dirt, carry half your house with you.

Cheers.

Chris - start your own topic for the rebuild otherwise it will get lost between posts and not flow, everyone i'm sure would be interested in following it.

Anyone know who the white guy is on the yellow DRZ with the big tank who rides through Santitham? He's given me the nod a few times while I'm out front of my mechanic's shop working on the bikes. Not Phil.

Suzuki DRZ 400 with 440 barrel & piston kit & Hot Cams high lift intake cam

This was 3pm, Lek says he'll have it finished later today, so hopefully riding this later this evening.

drz with 440 kit.jpg

Ohhh you added high lift cams ??? izza niiice..

You really should do the 3x3 and look for a fcr 39mm and rejet.. Its a waste to have the 440 and cams and not let it breathe.. And thats the much cheaper tweaks than the mods your putting in.

Still not fitted my 440, kinda debating getting a tour out the way as I dont want to have any issues or tweaking needed when I just want some reliability.

BTW scored a 4gal tank and tour saddle on the 'bay.. All coming together.

Which 4 gal. DRZ 400 tank did you score the Acerbris ot Clarke? & how many dead presidents?

I'm getting Lek to do the airbox hole thing...scared about the carb. re-jetting issues.

I got the IMS 4 gal (assume seppo gallons).. Not quite as insane as the 17 and 28l safari tanks but a good boost.

In yellow.. For 121.05 of your english pounds.. I won the auction by the .05p too :G .. Which was an extra bit of luck..

Looks a teeny bit scuffed and the like but not concerned. Between the extra saddle I got (26 quid) to make soft arse style touring saddle and the dirt wheelset it should be well sorted for ride season. Still need to get my pannier brackets made.

I will need a spare petcock as its not fitted.. No ones got a spare locally have they ??

Might want to ask Pikey about jetting, he had his 440 tinkered with for jetting and says its now sorted.

Started riding this last month for the 20km cruise down the canal road to work. Front drum brake a bit grabby and needs new oil in the forks but the girls love it and it's loud as hell. 8-)

Saw a BMW with a Thailand plate in CM set up for touring. It had big top and side hard luggage with visibility tape or something. Maybe a sub-1000cc models. Couldn't see if rider was Thai or white. Is this somebody from the board?

Those Yamaha SR400's are getting quite a cult following, they look and sound great.

Huge custom scene too..

John Nash had his previous side car rig nicked about 3 months ago in Chiang Mai, so this gave him a new side car project to work on, he stopped by today & it's just been finished, it looks magnificent.
