A mate and me just finished a ride from Huay Xai to Luang Namtha with about 90% on dirt. We went via Xieng Kok, Muang Long and Nale. Here's some photos.
Glad to see the ancient Buddha is still there.
China aid is paving the road along the Mekong. Not sure how far it it going.
