Why Such A Long Wait To Get A Kawasaki Serviced In Chiang Mai

I am in Mae Sot and a couple of days ago e-mailed Ally asking if she would book me a 36000 km service for my KLX and asking for 28th december.
The earliest I can get it done is 17th january, are these jokers taking the piss or what, is there a long wait like this in Bangkok and other towns or just Chiang Mai thats bloody useless?
I am happy enough with the bike but not with the long waits to get it serviced, when its replacement time the Honda CRF which can be serviced anywhere with possibly only an hours wait will probably get the nod.
I dont get why the Honda CBR and CRF get treated as an ordinary bike by Honda and can be serviced anywhere but Kawasaki only service their 250s at the big bike shops which are about as rare as rocking horse shit.
Perhaps they need to open another shop or at least another service centre in Chiang Mai

This is probably heresy but why not go to one of the Castrol Bike Service Centers and see if they can do the service as I assume there is no rocket science involved in servicing the Kawasaki.

What's more Colin, after the recent Lao ride I took my CRF into Niyom for its 4000 km service; arrived unannounced with no booking.
One hour and 240 baht later I rode it home!

Every 12000 km is a main service Auke, the small Kawasaki shops in Nan and Kanchanaburi cant do this one only the smaller 6000 km ones so it needs a Kawasaki big bike shop

Thanks Ron thats really cheered me up hearing that, when I needed the clutch plates replaced on the Honda Phantom I went to Niyom and they said come in tomorrow morning as its a long job and they did it for me okay

I took it in for the service and got a sort of apology/excuse from Noppadom about the wait.

According to him it should have been only two weeks and not four and his staffs incompetence was to blame
