I have a full Tsukigi Racing exhaust now on my 2010 KLX 250 but it's annoyingly loud, for me anyway. Where to get a good slip on Akropovic or Yoshimura slip on. Definitely not opposed to good copies. Any idea about how much they cost??

For locally made, there's Home Motor near Mae Rim 053297771 / 0871894608 - plenty of posters here have used them. I got a full system for a KLX150 for 3500b which I'd say is pretty good. Or there's Mr Kwan near the Super highway 0871926091 who also does exhausts. I got a skid plate from him but he was busy making (I think) Yoshy copies for the CRF250. Can't vouch for exhausts but you can see some of his other CRF250 bits here: honda-f61/2012-honda-crf250l-cbr250r-goes-dual-sport-t1044-160.html. Thinks you'll need a Thai speaker to help - if you're not.

Edit - if you want quiet though, you're maybe going to have to figure some kind of insert/muffler. My exhaust is loud. best find someone in CM with one from them to check how loud they are...Or explain you want something not too loud and see what they say.

Edit 2 - there are pics of the Yoshy copy here, by the looks of it: honda-f61/2012-honda-crf250l-cbr250r-goes-dual-sport-t1044-140.html

Talk to Nae in the Chiang Mai MX shop as to where he had the Yoshomura copy exhaust made, it look pretty good.

I have the HomeMotor on my KLX, they come with a baffle and when using same the sound is hardly more than stock.
Of course you save a lot of weight with the after market pipe, I weighed the stock pipe and HomeMotor and think the difference was almost 3 kgs...
Think paid Bht 4500 for a full system with power bomb, has been on my bike for almost a year now and still in good shape.

Phil - 99% sure Mr Kwan's is where Nae had the exhausts made. His bikes were there when I went - Nae gave me his number. Mr Kwan's isn't easy to find - about 18.806137,99.012973. Unless you're good at Thai or have a Thai friend with you, I'd go talk to Nae. Think it'll cost you about the same if you do it through Nae - my bash plate was 1500b.

OK thanks guys. Will probably have something done soon. Will let you know how it turns out. BTW I rode around Huay Teung Tao/Mae Rim area etc today. Stuff is really getting over grown now, lots of standing water but over all pretty good conditions!! :G

Jim - are you talking about the single track between HTT & Mae Rim that has the nasty dip?

Not sure about your coordinates but Kwan moved his shop a couple months ago.

The slip-on's are all the same, by the way. They just put whatever logo you want on them (Yoshimura, Takegawa, whatever you like).
