Versys anteater nose solution

Some may like the odd "anteater" nose on the Versys, but it seems to me that the designer went to lunch, had a few beers, and forgot to finish the job. I finally could not take it anymore and built a fibreglass filler panel to solve the Versys anteater nose look.
A bit more work to do on the finish and mounting brackets but it will look like this

Since I have to make a mould I will be making several sets so let me know if you are interested. Price is not known until I am done but think 4000 B in black gel coat, and quality bracketry.

Thinking to paint mine red to match the bike, but flat black is an easy rattle can job for those that prefer the blacked out look.

This is part of my Versys beak project but I like it so much that I am not going to fit the beak on my own bike.
On to the beak section tomorrow for those that really want the beak

Hog,
Have no idea what you wrote here. Are you saying that you prefer your V without the beak but that you reckon it would look better with one?

In any case, like I mentioned on another forum, I'm game for it. I have one thought about the bracketry though - would it be an idea to have a longish bracket coming out from the existing fairing and cantilevering the beak on this in 2-3 points rather than just a bracket where the two meets?

To clarify:
I like this filler so much that I am going to use it as shown on my own bike, but painted red. No beak for me at this point

Others have indicated interest in a beak version, so I have designed it in such a way that the beak is an add on to these filler panels. I will me moving on to the beak mould next

Stay tuned as the beak can be mounted to the filler piece and is the next step in the project

yychow - For obvious reasons, I am not keen on cantilevering the beak off either the existing ABS bodywork, or the new filler piece. While it would allow hidden mounting, I am also not keen on simply bolting the filler piece to the ABS bodywork, and prefer an independent bracket

The current design for the filler piece, is to come off the headlight framework with an aluminium bracket to the filler/beak interface, and another aluminium bracket at the trailing edge of the filler. Another long bracket using the same pick up points on the headlight frame, will come off both sides of the headlight to support the leading edge of the beak

It now turns out that besides Malaysia where the beak trend seems to have originated, this is also available in Bangkok

Oh well another wheel reinvented, but it kept me busy and I am consoling myself by chanting that my mounting system is better

The beak looks great IMO.
