Going through a village I saw a sign for a vintage event and decided to go for a look, I was certainly glad that I did

I started my bricklaying apprenticeship on 10th june 1974 and we had a mixer identical to this one (its probably the same one)
I remember being told to keep the water topped up in the open tank but these were very soon replaced by air cooled ones

This was a fantastic happen upon event that I had no idea was on.
I was just fortunate enough to be riding through the right village on the right day and hopefully you will enoy this event through these photos almost as much as I did by actually being there

Slash,
I can smell the grass cuttings. So nice. Great photos.
I am sure you had a great time. Nice find!
Thanks...

Fred Dibnah... now that's a name to be reckoned with!

Thanks for posting those pics Colin, very interesting and nostalgic.

This brings back many memories from the sixties. Still remember helping out neighbors who had a Lanz Bulldog tractor which was very difficult to start but once it was running kept on going with its thump-thump-thump sound. Thanks for posting these pictures.

Absolutely wonderful; thanks Capt.
Sitting there, with a Guinness and a friend, taking it all in ... luxury! (in a Monty Pythonesque accent)

Love the Nortons and the Morris Minor police car.
