I've been planning a trip, and the old subconscious prodded me the other night so I went googling about tinted visors in Thailand. Sure enough I found a story that they are seriously frowned upon - down in Phuket at least.
So I'll be packing a clear visor. But I do find my other lightly tinted/mirrored visor is great at cutting glare and less hassle than sunnies. So my cautiously worded question is this: Does anyone know a friend of a friend ( no names no pack-drill) who uses a tinted visor around Chiang Mai and northern Thailand without any issue? I know sometimes local authorities have some discretion in these things, so I'm interested if this is the case.
