I've been planning a trip, and the old subconscious prodded me the other night so I went googling about tinted visors in Thailand. Sure enough I found a story that they are seriously frowned upon - down in Phuket at least.
So I'll be packing a clear visor. But I do find my other lightly tinted/mirrored visor is great at cutting glare and less hassle than sunnies. So my cautiously worded question is this: Does anyone know a friend of a friend ( no names no pack-drill) who uses a tinted visor around Chiang Mai and northern Thailand without any issue? I know sometimes local authorities have some discretion in these things, so I'm interested if this is the case.hairy biker

Many of the helmets available in Thailand (LS2 and Real to name a few) already have a drop down tinted visor so you have the best of both worlds, tinted visors can be a nightmare if you get caught out dirt or road riding at night..
