R 105 - Mae Sot to Mae Sariang


As of April 2013, still in terrible condition. Hundreds of potholes and broken surface. Resurfacing is still underway. It doesn't look like it will be a good road any time soon.

R 1284 - North of Mae Chaem





There are at least 4 caved in sections on R 1284, rubble and potholes in many sections

R 1013 / R 5118/ R 4016 (same road) north east of Mae Chaem



In really bad shape in places, below is a good section. There are some completely broken areas where it's a dirt track, rainy season won't be good here.

Lets get things put in perspective here.

Thailand has some brilliant roads with surfaces that seem to remain in tact for years.

1103 - Doi Tao through to 106 near Li


1001 - Chiang Mai to Phrao



Road conditions fit for a good ride !
