Taking Thai Reg. car & Thai Reg. motorcycle out of Thailand
Thai reg. pick-up with a Thai reg. motorcycle in the back & one passport.
Just tested this last week at Nong Khai/ Vientiane border crossing.
Normally Thai reg. motorcycles are not "officially" allowed northbound across the Friendship bridge at Nong Khai into Vientiane Laos. I just tested this with a Thai registered pick-up & a Thai reg. motorcycle and although there was some confusion, temporary export from Thailand was granted for both Thai registered vehicles.
On the Laos side, Laos customs will only grant a maximum of 2 weeks temporary import.
It would be possible to do this with a motorcycle not registered in your name but you need the correct Thai documentation, tax stamps and letter of authorization signed by the owner etc....details of how to do it in the link below:
