I'm trying to help a friend extend his customs paperwork to allow him to keep his Thai registered motorcycle in Cambodia for another month without incurring a 1000 Baht fine on return.
I've perused the customs website and it simply says to contact them, but the text is written in such a way that it sounds like they're talking more about how to extend the temporary permission for a foreign (say Malaysian/Singaporean/Cambodian etc.) bike or car driven to Thailand temporarily. That would be easy, even if you needed to do it in person, because you can simply rock up to a Thai customs office (or the one in Bangkok). That's not possible if you're in Cambodia, thus there needs to be a way of seeking this extention remotely.
I guess I could call up customs, but surely there's an email he could use, whereby he would scan a copy of his customs paperwork before the expiration date and receive approval that way?
