I got a question for my British friends out there. Back in 2008 when America elected Obama, I was happy not just because the guy who was more similar to my politics got elected, but also I was proud of my nation. That we had elected a bi-racial president, it seemed to be a big positive given our national history of racism and slavery. Now, it's Britain's turn. You didn't choose Meghan, but your prince did. I'm curious, does this make any of my British friends, of whatever race, proud of your country? Does it feel like the monarchy is stepping into the 21st century?
Me, I'm excited. This is fun.
