The 118 speedway is almost fully surfaced.
Just a few minutes of compacted dirt from around 6km out of Doi Saket to be done, then lots of lane marking
and barriers to install.
I do believe they will complete it before the Rain Season hits.
The new surface is excellent.
Already there is evidence of severe braking, not only on curves!

Highway 1 is having concrete laid from just the Chiang Rai side of Phayao.

1021 from Chun to Phayao is being resurfaced and widened through Dokhamtai, to where the 4 lanes begin.
I hear that near Chun we now have a new 4 lane highway.

And very good news is that the 120 from around Tanthong Waterfall to the Dinosaur Lookout is being widened.
Those twisties where we were often held up by slow moving buses and trucks should soon be a thing of the past.

Not much more to be done on 118 coming into/out of Doi Saket.
Slippery after sprayed though!

Past the new Chune restaurant.

I rode out from Doi Saket to the new Chune restaurant area (5-6kms) today to check the roadwords.
And it appears that the bitumen connection is now complete!
Not sure how things are beyond that.
