Here’s an excellent little loop with great twisties and some beautiful scenery.
12 kilometres north of Chiang Dao on the 107 turn right onto the 1150 which goes to Phrao, follow this for about 22 klm’s to enjoy some great scenery and corners until you get to Ban Pa Hin. Turn left at Ban Pa Hin onto the 1346 which is a beautiful ride for about 35 klm’s through lush valleys, jungle, rugged limestone hills, small villages and most of it on new asphalt that sweeps and turns the whole way. The 1346 eventually joins the 107 again at Pha Hong where you can turn left to enjoy some great fast sweeping corners back to where you started, however watch for the psycho local drivers on this section. All together it’s about a 100 klm loop with some beautiful scenery, back country and great roads.
