Positive Metzeler Karoo 3 Dual Sport Tyre Review

Yes i fitted some to the BMW X Country and have to say for the price 9000 baht they are pretty good, handle well on the road but don't expect too much on the dirt. Had them fitted at the piston shop in Chiang Mai, they came from Bangkok so i guess Big Bendum sells them.

I used them on this trip http://www.rideasia.net/motorcycle-...9-peripatetic-south-surin-see-bikesncats.html

nice thread but by the look seem very knobby and maybe noisy on tarmac?

From the review: Riding on the highway, we initially experienced a high-pitched whine from the tires. This was more pronounced when traveling over grooved asphalt. However, the tire noise dissipated after a few hundred miles until eventually it became unnoticeable over the wind noise.

Actually there was a drone from the tyres but a loud pipe would fix that :jump

 ye mate, the noise wouldn-t be so bad if wasn-t accompained by the vibrating feel .......prob similar to riding onto train tracks... :lol
