PART 3-Phongsaly - heading south
On the way south I detoured to Pakha at the Chinese border. I'm told this checkpoint is still actually 30km from the actual Chinese border entry
Managed to get south before dark to Pak Nam Noi (Junction of R18 & 2E). There is a GH there at the bus station/ market just across the bridge and another new one being built
50,000 kip gets you this with its own bathroom
Then more obstructions - a twenty point turn by a construction truck
Then the best of them all, a huge rock the size of a car blocking R13 just south of OudomXai!
Got south to Luang Prabang in time for some sunset photo's
Stayed at the Philalak GH 110,000 kip
Morning Market in Luang Prabang
I went around some of the backstreets and found some houses I hadn't seen before
Met Niko for breakfast in LPQ pizza
