Northern Laos in 10 days

Hallo everyone!

I am planning a solo ride in northern Laos.

I will travel alone.

In the attached map I have marked the dirt roads in red and paved roads in green.

I hope they are right.

The ring is about 1700 km long.

Can you give me some updated news on the difficulty of the red sections?

The dirt/gravel sections between Phonsavan and Vang Vieng (north and south of Long Tieng) are quite rough. Lots of bulldust and stones. So a bit challenging - but not very bad. This is info from very recent ridereports…

The stretch between Na Mor and Boun Tai I rode 3 years ago and it was a nice ride through beautiful scenery. Mostly firm gravel/dirt roads, not very challenging but a very nice ride. It could have changed in 3 years time of course, gravel roads often do…

The other stretches I dunno…
