Those specs are for the 250 version - not the 150. 39PS sounded a bit unrealistic for a 150cc 4T.

One R-15 will be available at Yamaha Square Saturday 28th from 10-30am for test rides.

The R-15 can be ordered tomorrow and the 'ride away' price will be 86,900 baht.

The engine has a three year warranty and the EFI 5 years.

2015 Yamaha SR400 | FIRST RIDE | Motorcyclist

"Overall, the SR400 is a fine little bike, mechanically sound and terrifically styled. The silent question is how many Yamaha will sell at a hefty $5,990, which is fairly steep for such a simple, no-frills machine."

(Motorcyclistonline)

I was surprised to see the R15 today here in Songkhla. Somebody ordered it for 85,000 baht. That's more than the CBR150R! How do they compare?

Also a SR400 was sitting on the showroom floor. Great looking bike, lots of memories!

But at closer look the plumbing turned me off. Plus an ugly sensor on the header.

And - no rear disc, no E-start? Why not both, like on the XS650? For 265,000 baht? Sorry, no!

The 400's are nice but seem overpriced for a revived decades old design.

I do like some vintage.. But honestly i dont see the point for this model..after the bolt???(very nice lookin btw!)
A waste of efforts! Again ,Mr Yamaha where is the Wr450 (in th)?

Shouldn't be too complicated to ditch.

But still, the SR400 is no Royal Enfield, and a Bullet may one day be legally available for the same price - with E-start!

just had a good in depth look at it here in Surin where they are trying to push them hard...well well...not at all what I expected!!!

Sorry to say but this is NOT a modern bike with retro styling. Make no mistake, this is the real 30+ year old bike, same design same materials. just a couple of things added to conform to exhaust norms. No modern touches here so I must agree, the price is off...

Of course not, it's the same old SR from the 70s and 80s, just with FI and some plumbing.
It's not a W650 or W800 or a Triumph.

Now if they'd revive the old XS650, that would make me think twice about buying a CB500!
It's quite heavy, I parted one out, just the frame alone weighs a ton.
But it had around 50 horses, lots of vibrations, looked cool and was fun to ride!

Mr Yamaha found an old grandma's stash of parts and thought to re-assemble/sell .......... ;)

Yamaha Chiang Mai have this 'made to order' MT-09 'Street Rally' on show.

DSC03205.jpg

Main differences from standard is the cowling and the seat being a bit higher.

DSC03206.jpg

489,000 baht.

And I was told that an updated 'Tenere' 1200 will be available mid December.

All of their current 'Bolt' allocation has been sold out and a new colour range (including red!) will be available mid October.
465,000 baht.

The new model Yamaha Bolt is now at Yamaha Square (CMai) and Pop Rentals already have a couple of them.
