Riding back I take an unmapped right turn and this is a steep hill that might be a bit difficult in the wet season, it goes through and links back to the main road

At the top and here is the water flowing down for the hydro power

Colin love your reports, not meaning to derail your thread but some advise please, I'm bringing my favourite ride gear to CM but don't have/need/or have any experience with Garmin gps, should I buy here in NZ or is it all ( mounts etc) available in CM? Cheers Phil

Don't know the prices of GPS equipment in your country but the prices in Thailand for GPS'es are high due to the tax and some other issues involved so I guess you are better of buying them at home where you probably also have a better choice. Forinstance, the Zumo 390 costs here 24500 Baht which is about 800 USD (Zumo 390 - GPS for motorcycle)

Another fun day Colin, will look at the tracks.

Kiwiphil, we re hearing gpscity.com is about to have a black Friday GPS sale, cheapest place to buy a gps

Buy it there and bring it over if its anything like usual western prices (US, UK, etc) better prices, more competition, and more choice.

Maps available here for the trails..

Thankyou for the info much appreciated
