We were stuffing around in the Salawin National Park and nearby areas last weekend (4th and 5th Nov 2023), planning to be home in Chiang Mai on Sunday night. My CRF and I had a violent disagreement on the Saturday, trying to get down to one of the refugee camps. Having it spit me into the rocks and with a twisted lower back, I was a bit slow after a night in the tent and some exhausting riding on the Sunday, so I pulled rank and stopped in Mae Sariang on the Sunday.
Deere steered us to a new hotel, the Inbox - a block or so back from the river. He, as usual, went in and did the negotiations. Two rooms, 600 baht each.
Good wifi, nice place, comfortable bed.
