A short ride in an area I have wanted to visit for quite some time. Sadly the rainwere too persistent to allow many photos and to be honest, it wasn't fun riding with only 50 meters visibility at times.

So there is quite a bit left for a future ride which will eventually take me down to the 1274 but a shame it won't link directly to the 1184.

Riding through the fields around Nam Mae San, peaceful after the busy route 11 traffic behind me.

I took a small road to the right towards Nam Mae Yao Reservoir.

What a surprise (now back home with a translation makes it even more interesting)

I walked the last bit of this road but I could have ridden it.

Here is the reservoir

And here are the buildings associated with what I now know to be an organisation to maintain wildlife (Elephants) in this Doi Pha Mueang Wildlife Preserve.

But apart from the warm welcome from the dogs & the incessant chug chug of a pump, the place felt like a nice place to be.

This is the 4007 & is brilliant to open up & blast for many kilometers without seeing another soul.

Interesting area & looks like not congested, will try take Som down there, thanks for sharing.

An interesting find Ally, I notice there are a few reservoirs out there and remember going to one of them three holidays back but it looks like more exploring in that area is needed
