Hi All,
Advice appreciated - I am stuck in Hot because the old KLX 250 ran like a dream down from C M but about 20 Km up the climb to Mai Sariang, she started to lose power, splutter & finally stop.
Got her going and she ran like a pig all the way back to about 5 km from Hot, then ran like a dream again
So assuming most physical bits like the plugs & cooling are fine, that just leaves the Fuel injection and sensors etc. Or have I missed something.
Is there any fuel air adjustments on FI systems or is the height/barometric pressure just a red herring ?
All suggestions welcome. I will try again in the morning, but if it repeats itself, then it's ride back to CM & the Kwacker shop.

Hi Russ,

Try cleaning your Mass Air Sensor which is screwed into your exhaust pipe. If that doesn't solve it you may have to replace it. Also check the wiring to and from the sensor.
This sends signals to your ECU which in turn controls the mixture delivered to your fuel injection system i.e. different altitudes. Your experiencing what us Carb riders experience every time we go to altitude.

is it idling ok?
fuel injector cleaner?air filter?
kickstand sensor?when its running good, any flatspots?

Thanks for the help.
Day 2 saw a repeat of the probs, but on Day 3 from MSH back to CM, all perfect. Only difference was the weather was cooler.
Anyway, will check filters & sensor today, and hopefully it will settle down. I'll repost if anything concrete is discovered.

Did you check the mass air sensor already?
