Did this trail in reverse in a very cold January a couple of years ago but the other way round, was half expecting it to fully be graded but thankfully it's not.
First stop was friendly Omthap village to hand out some warm gloves and toy's for the kid's.

From there the teacher of the local school invited us in to see his classroom.

Only eleven kid's in this village school but it was a lovely learning atmosphere inside.

Outside we gave out some colouring books, pencils and sweets for the kid's.

Des handed out some balloons and in no time the teacher had organised some games.

Would have been a great place to camp for the night, but we had other plans. Hard to get good shots of the views on this trail as the elephant grass is so tall.

As we descended to the next village the main landmark of this trail looks set to go as a new concrete bridge was in progress.

We watched as a bunch of Chinese appeared, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the building of the building the bridge they apparently worked on.
