Great NE Monsoon weather finally here and a bunch of fun loving, like minded people with big bikes out for a ride west of Chiang Mai.

Pretty nice day loop, probably 130km in total and mostly twisties, especially up to Mon Chan

The French riders were keen to tag along on their KTM 950 Adventure's and were loving it

Doon was up from down south and it's interesting to see what the educated Thai's want to do when they get to Chiang Mai

So we ask them where they want to go - "Mon Chan, Mon Chan" . We knew where it was, as it's at the top of the "rock tower" trail we ride, but never really paid it any attention!



If you're interested in seeing Mon Chan, the co-ords are: N18.93548 E98.82350 . It's definatly been promoted well with the local Thai's, it was packed.

Where did you see the carts Phil?





They are at Mon Chan
 
I am pretty sure Mon chan is where they do a strawberry pancake I was told to find and tried a couple of times never getting the location right.

Have co-ords now..
 
I wouldnt go near there at new year
it will be jammed solid all the way up from the samoeng loop
