In this village I take a concrete road out to the right and on previous trips it has turned to dirt, today the concrete goes further

After 20000 km of mounting the bike with it on the side stand and often pivoting it around also on the side stand I snapped it off.
Here is my hopefully temporary aftermarket side stand

If anyone else has the same problem make sure this is in this position
DSCF5316.jpg

As in that position it wont start or stay running when in gear
DSCF5317.jpg

DSCF5318.jpg

There is a short 400 metre break in the concrete road and this easy dirt takes its place
DSCF5319.jpg

Then its back to concrete until N18.04.620 E098.07.199 when I reach this village

A quick look around then its a ride back until N18.04.241 E098.07.459 where I turn right onto a dirt track
DSCF5331.jpg

DSCF5332.jpg

DSCF5333.jpg

The track isnt going to go anywhere and I cant be bothered propping up the bike just to ride through this gate so its time to ride back

DSCF5358.jpg

I ride up to the top and very conveniently another prop up point
DSCF5359.jpg

DSCF5360.jpg

Its just a walking path across the ridge now so time to go back
DSCF5361.jpg

A bit further south and hopefully I will continue along here tomorrow.
I think getting back to Mae Sariang and hopefully getting the sidestand fixed is the best course of action now
DSCF5362.jpg

I do a left at N18.03.349 E098.07.986 onto a dirt track to start the ride home

DSCF5365.jpg

Easy going and pleasant scenery again. The surface returns to paved at N18.03.700 E098.08.527
DSCF5367.jpg

On the way back.
Once in Mae Sariang I go straight to the Castrol Bike Point who quickly weld my sidestand and put it back on, the whole job done for 30 Baht
DSCF5370.jpg

Moo kata for 108 Baht

You broke it !

Now your off setting new standards of engineering whilst at the same time seeing how many new bike shot poses you can grab.
