I collected the little Yamaha next morning and decided to ride around LP city.
I like this place mainly because of its setting beside the river and because of its Frenchness,
especially architecturally.

One of the main reasons to visit was to sink a few chilled Beer Lao and to enjoy the fresh, warm baguettes.

Walking street and its offshoot 'Buffet Street' were a highlight.

Tomorrow, out of town.

Nice Ron, that old Citreon looks as good as ever.

Here's the excellent number plate on that classic Citroen Traction Avant.

Great photos, and thanks for sharing! Luang Prabang is such a gem of a town albeit a bit too much touristy these days. Well at least 4 years ago when I last visited there. First time back in 2005 it was quite different.
Those baguettes looks as tasty as ever...?

Thanks 'Snakeboy'.
Yes, it has become a bit expensive too.
However, maybe due to the smoke, there were not so many tourists there this time.

This pic was taken by my riding mate Alan in 11/2012, so it seems there may be more than one Citroen Traction Avant in town.
Or maybe the owner has upgraded.
