Getting across the South is a drag as most of the roads lead from London, and even these are clogged with holiday traffic in the summer. I find the roads between the main ones are the most fun but it's easy (for me) to get lost as when they cross a main road and the continuation is often out of sight - so do I turn left or right!
After an afternoon of zig-zagging to and fro I decided it was time to fit the Garmin;-)

First stop on first ride - Shaftesbury, the road across Cranborn Chase is one of my favourites and there's a nice bakers that does coffee which you can take out and enjoy watching the world go by in the centre or go to 'Park Walk' with it's excellent views:-

My new toy! I got fed up with scrunching myself onto the 851 or bouncing around on increasingly rotten roads on my decreasingly reliable Harley. I always found myself missing my trusty CRF -

so I am hoping this will be the UK counterpart -
