Thanks for the reminder.
I harken back to this time 1975 and the boat races there at Vientiane. Seems like one or two of the boat crews didn't much like the new government that was in the process of taking over, so when they got cranked up to speed, the just split across to Sri Chieng Mai and entered the "refugee" stream. Races were canceled for a year or two after that!
