Later we headed off to Mai Sai after stopping of at the royal gardens which were spectacular. We tried to get to Mai Sai on the back roads but had to turn back as the road had been damaged due to the rain and re route up on the Highway 1
We finally made it to Mai Sai and realised that the night life was not happening, so after stocking up on a new set of LEDs for my bike we rode down to Chain Rai Mai for the night, but we gutted to fine all the drinking establishments closed due to the elections.
The next morning we blasted back up to Mai Sai and headed into Burma for a ½ day tour.
Then it was back to Mai Sai and hop down to Chaing Sean to check out the golden triangle. We tried to bypass the road works, we hit 1 patch of them. Due to the rain it was a mess, mud everywhere and both our bikes ended up sliding all over the place.
Eventually we made it to Chiang Saen and the headed down to Chiang Mai where we ended up at the Riders Club and met Phil the owner and avid bike rider.
