Since new the chain has needed adjusting about every 700 km and now its completely shagged after only 8600 km
A new OE one only costs about 350 Baht

This DID O ring chain was 970 Baht and hopefully will last a lot longer

Both sprockets were knackered too so a complete replacement today.
Originally the gearing was 15/43 then I changed to 14/44, today I plumped for 14/47 so now running the gearing of the KLX 125, this should be better offroad

Surprising they wore out so quick Col although a stretched chain will chew the sprockets up fairly quick.

It and the brake pads both gone already.

Those aftermarket brake pads were also replaced yesterday as the mechanic said they appeared to be coming unstuck and recommended replacing them.
Interestingly at Kawasaki Chiang Mai there were two options of Nissin pads, the OE which were 130 Baht or the Japanese made ones for about 675 Baht

That's a pretty suprising photo after only 8,000km. Even with the mighty 150cc power unit I wouldnt expect to see anything near as bad as that. It really just shows the quality of the parts isn't what it might be.
