Every valley is filled red dirt and workers, this project is not ready for the rainy season.
I hope it doesn't rain soon I will work hard to get out of here.

The skies have cleared up and the visibility is fantastic but dark clouds are on the horizon
The wheels are caking up with mud.


Following many kilometers of trails but cannot get out, so its return the way I came.


I can see tracks leading to villages in these valleys but no way to connect to them.


Happy to be out of the construction zone and into more familiar sights


Family bails out and pushes the tuk tuk up the hill.

Wiggle and worm through small farming tracks until, this bridge presents itself, as a way back to the main road


Out on the main road and the construction crew has left this in the middle of the road!

Beautiful pictures - it really looks like that the sticky mud season is upon us. Thanks for posting these pictures of the Nam Ngiep II hydro power construction site. This is how it will look like according to the contractor on a very sunny and bright day in 2015 when the project is expected to be finished.

These guys did not want to spend money for the raft so they improvised this methond of crossing

I saw these bug catching parties in several villages, just had to stop and see for myself.
Most of the bugs are termites they feed to the pigs, the bigger juicy ones, for human consumption.
