Hidenau, Good tires ...

I tried both the K60 and the K73 on the HP2 and found both were pretty good tires, both good grip and good handling. The K73 was a real neat looking tire and offered some acceptable traction even in the dirt but overall I found the K60 was a better tire for the HP2, better handling and lasted a bit longer (though the K73 was much better in sliders). The K73 set lasted 2,800Km and K60s around 3 1/2 thousand...so overall less then Michelin and Metzeler. I would say that on bikes with a little less torque then the HP2 these will do very well, maybe a little shorter lifespan but still good tires for the money and usually readily available.

wow the HP2 just leaves the tires on the road as soon as u change them! hehe ;) true with less torque could prob get better mileage then that..

Absolutely (more milage I mean)...the HP2 is a real hoolligan machine, take it to Koh Chang via the back-roads twice and...well. All that torque from down low just really shows the difference between good tires and crappy ones...sorry no offense intended to anyone but I found the Avon I tried were crap (turned back and took them off after 200Km and put Conti's on). I found the Michelin Pilot Road 3 (road set-up) the best in milage and handling performance but the Metzeler Roadtec though less milage gave better on road performance (both grip and handling) especially in short side to side twisters...both the Sahara and the Enduro2 are still my favorite off-road/dual-sport tires.

Except for lifespan both the K73 and K60 compare well to the respective PilotRoad and Enduro2s, if you feel at home with Metzeler Enduro2s you will like the K60s (and even more the price difference) and the same goes for the K60 if you like riding on Michelin Pilot Road.

I like K60 a lot..and as we know for the mileage beside quality of tires, which is fundamental,it depends also on what terrain you drive onto, torque of the bike ,and the way u drive :)

I am considering the Heidenau K66 for the Honda CRF250M (same size as original IRC tires), anyone experience with these?
They are a M&S (4 seasons) tyre which will allow for a better grip (I hope) on gravel and unpaved roads.

Asiana does not stock them but they are in stock (in the right size) in Singapore, hope the import duty will not hit too hard......

Since 95% of my riding is on roads I want the slickest street tire, like the Diablo Rosso II, which wasn't available when I was shopping around.

Did 12,000+ km on Michelin Street Radials for 6,500 baht, they feel better than the IRC and have just squared off.

They look like they're good for another 12,000 km, easy, even the rear. I went with a 140 which improved slow-speed handling.

Edit: I checked out their website, I don't know if I would go for an all-season tire in this heat, seems like it's a street tire good for wet roads.
