I've got a US plated motorcycle and I'm riding it around the world. I need to ditch my beloved bike while I go back to work. Does anyone know if this is possible in Malaysia?

Not sure if this will help you as there is no info on storing the bike while away in another country but it seems possible to keep a foreign plated vehicle in Malaysia for longer periods as long as you can request an extension - see http://wikioverland.org/Malaysia

Probably best to check also with the Malaysia Road Transport Department at http://www.jpj.gov.my/web/eng/home

Wicked! Thanks LR! As with Thailand I'm just going to do it and see where the chips fall. This is the 7th time I've left my bike and I've adopted a very irresponsible, blasé attitude towards the whole thing. That being said I really appreciate the help!
