Greenbook for new motorcycle - 45 days?

I just tried to buy a new motorcycle today from the dealership today. They told me that it would take a month and a half to get the Greenbook registered to my name.

When I balked, they said I could expedite the process and have the Greenbook done in 7 days if I paid 200 baht. Is this really a thing or were they just trying to make a sale?

I paid 100bht extra for mine from big wing CM and got it in 7 days otherwise was going to be a few weeks wait
