The 64 is the base model and not the 64S. It therefore does not have Unit-to-unit transfer (shares data wirelessly with similar units), no electronic compass, no barometric altitude and does not have highspeed USB

Looks like the 62s at the same price is a better option, the wireless transfer is useful.

Am looking at a 62s ( much cheaper than Montana here ) comments pls from those who know this unit? Is it all I would need for touring Thailand, Laos, Cambodia? and all the backroad stuff in the north? Thx Phil

The problem with the 62s is the screen is so small and the joystick is kind of fiddly. This means planning / making routes are really difficult. With a pre-made route transferred to the 62s from a computer its great.
