Question on fuel in Thailand and Laos.

In Laos it is Benzine and not sure what Grade I had been filling up with but it was red in color. Is there a percentage of ethanol in this fuel?

In Thailand I always use the 91 Red. Is this the same as Benzine in Laos and am I correct to assume that this does not contain ethanol? Last time I filled up it was yellowish in color.

Just confused with what the deal is with the gas in these countries.

The yellow coloured 91 is benzine here in Thailand currently selling at just under 42 baht/L.

It`s displayed 91 with a red background.

91 Jim - No 95 octane in Laos, might now find some in Vientiane if you hunt around, but no where else.

Laos does not add ethanol to its fuel so you got 100% benzine

Is that why it is Red in color? Any idea what the octane is there?
