I took a bus from Hanoi to Ha Giang. Rented a XR150 from QT Motorbikes, good bike, easy transaction.
Had a fair bit of clouds and some rain. November should be not too bad but the typhoons seem to arrive later every year now.
But still got two windows of nice weather.

I had to try ride the Skywalk, it's not for the faint hearted.

Heaps to see in the Dong Van karst region. Not overdeveloped like Sapa.
I'll certainly go back for another look in future.

Cracking pictures, the landscapes look stunning.

Your pics in Ha Giang are freaking great!
I also have many photos in Ha Giang to share with you guys after my motorcycle adventures with my friends.
Next time, you'd love to ride a CRF250L/XR250L/ Suzuki DRZ400 from Hanoi to Ha Giang, you can go with us!

Next ride I would skip Sapa and better ride more in Ha Giang area.
See Sapa once is enough.

Sapa is more like a tourist attraction, not like Ha Giang where still retains its raw beauty of nature and more suitable for adventurous riders. I've been to Ha Giang so many times and it's never enough for me.
Watch my video to see how amazing a motorcycle trip to Ha Giang is:

Great post. It is still a wonderful place up there but it is getting a bit crowded. I reckon you should come back and perhaps have a look further around in the surrouding areas because there is a lot to see.
