I have new done the bars, rear sprockets, seat is in progress , bike is getting destrsricted so i am now thinking of the exhaust.

Any suggestions from any one.

Also, if i buy an after market one - is it worth it, do you really get much of a performance increase from it

cheers Kevin

It'll sound good which will make you think there's a performance improvement, but realistically, not sure it will make a material difference for trail riding.

From what I gather (I have a friend in Indonesia who did a lot of mods to his KLX) changing the header to a larger diameter and getting an after market (locally made) end can makes a big difference.

Original exhausts are built to let the bike pass the legislations -this makes them very restrictive and also extremely heavy due to all internal baffles etc, with an after market end can you will lose 2-4 kilo and let the exhausts out a lot quicker (and noisier).

According to my mate doing the header and can changes made the largest impact of all the mods he did to his bike.

Excellent work and service and includes a removable baffle so you can choose laod or throaty

It also feels like it goes faster

Hi Kev

That exhaust looks good, where exactly did you get it?

Thanks

Hi Ally

Sorry I am not around from here, Its near the X center; GPS Position: N18 54.606' E098 55.069'

I ordered it the day after the toy run and they fitted it on sunday in about 40 mins

Oh ok, your not 'local' then!! (League of Gentlemen comedy)

I have heard of this place, I will check it out.

Thanks very much.

Hi phil

Yes they did a great job

I think it makes a difference - it's a lot lighter than the old one and I think the expansion parts helps.

As I have added a bigger sprocket and desrestricted the bike it hard to see a massive change with each addition, but I feels it responds better and has better pick up

One thing is for sure, it is completely different from the original bike
