I am thinking of going to WSB Thailand in March and riding from Phnom Penh. It is a Cambodian registered bike (Versys 650) but I am unsure of what paperwork I require on the Thai side. I only plan to be in Thailand for the race weekend.

Can anybody advise?

I always cross at the Koh Kong/Had Lek border on a bike with Cambo registration in my name.
The Cambo customs ignore me.
On the Thai side, customs issue me with temp import papers for the bike. No fee
They need to see your registration card for the bike.
I always exit at that same the border where I hand those papers back in.

You're supposed to have 3rd party insurance in Thailand, cost around Bt 650.
The Had Lek border customs dont handle it anymore . I'm told other main border crossings do issue it but have no experience with that.
