Got a motorcycle you want to keep looking nice and shiny? Clear coat film skin is an option.

Two new 2016 Honda CB 500 F motorcycle's we've bought for tours, chafe from bags and knees, the clear coat should keep them shiny.

Panda Racing Shop in Chiang Mai has a decent reputation and will come to you if the job is big enough, contact them at:

The film is much like what is used on screen savers with a sacrificial layer that is thrown away

Re: Clear coat your motorcycle

They identify the largest 2 dimensional planes that they can to avoid too much cutting and 3d curved areas.

Tape with removable string is then stuck on the perimeter of the two dimensional plane area. This string can then be pulled out and is used to cut the edge rather than use a box cutter blade which can score the tank

A heat gun makes the film more pliable and can roast out bubbles

It works much better on new bikes. as any scratches you have will be high lighted/ magnified by an air bubble in the skin. Here my Hypermotard with 20,000km shows its age

Tank and rear plastics will costs you around 3,000 Baht

Interesting, if the film gets damaged can you remove it without damage to the original transfers?
