Christini awd 300

I had contacted Christini about shipping to Thailand and below is there reply. I need to investigate further the cost for them to "break" the bike down to ship. Maybe between Phil and Jamie they can get these bikes rolling into Thailand.

Hello Jim and thank you for your interest in The base price for the DS model is $7695, $8995 for the kickstart only 300 and $9595 for the electric start 300. Shipping to Thailand will have to be investigated as we have not shipped one their at this time. We would really prefer to do a fully assembled bike as we would like to stay away from shipping the way you have described. It is a big hassle for us and we simply don't have the band width to do so. I hope this will not deter you from a purchase but understand your concern over the import taxes. If we did have to do this it would be time and materials plus any applicable shipping costs.

Thanks again for your interest and hope to hear from you again soon. Have a great day. ASH

There's a guy on the forum called Rich who has converted his 300 KTM with a Christini kit that he picked up cheap second hand, see thread here http://www.rideasia.net/motorcycle-forum/introductions/1709-gday-australia.html I looked into converting my 200 some time ago but they only do the conversion for the 250 and 300 so far.
It would be interesting to know how reliable they have been since its conception. Alot of moving parts going on with the system!!! Extra weight and complication ?!?

It makes you wonder when it would become an advantage to have drive from the front weighed up against the disadvantages?

I like low weight and simplicity with my bike so prefer to keep it that way.

Wasn`t there a guy from out Phrao way that has/had a AWD YFF 450 too?

Nope, that was a WR450F 2Trac. Very expensive and not reliable apparently!
