Wet and slippery at the start - unfortunately Bob had the wrong tyres on that just clogged up all the time - so he cut the ride short as he was getting no grip. The rest of the track was wet, but we went up high into the hills and had a good time splashing through all the mud up there... Great views and even some sun. Hopefully Jim will add some pics. Thanks goes to Ronny for guiding. :D

Yeah a really good day of wet, muddy, slippery, rainy, sunny, good traction, scenic and fast riding. Unfortunately BSACBOB had crappy tires and had to eject from the ride early. The three of carried on and did around 70k and went as high as 1400ft elevation. Ronny has been riding this area for over 5 years and really knows his way around. Looking forward to the next get out!

yes a good ride out with a slip and slide start around Singha farm , afterwards it got much better with a long fast track up and down from kun korn direction kok river , still slippery going down . In wintertime when i ride there usually this is superfast track with good long views and smooth surface , now it can get bad rutted after every corner , also normally small waterspots aren t deep , except for one , almost over the bars , .. , good ride and good company , cu next ride out

About the tyres Bob had fitted... They were the IRC 'Trail' - as fitted standard to the CRF250F/KLX150. The closer tread on these clogged up with clay and stayed like that - and they have a rounder profile so less to stop you sliding side to side... IRC 'Enduro' are much better for this kind of stuff.

It's a shame about Bob's Tyres. looks like he's missed out on a good trip. The Standard KLX Dunlop's are slightly better in my opinion but would have become slick too. I bet those Enduro's are treacherous on Tarmac though. So what's the Solution ? .... :hmm

Bob will no doubt have already swapped to Enduro's

Bob told me he's already order, yep.

I used to have IRC Enduro's or my 150 and they're fine on the road. Grippy enough for the kind of speeds you'd normally be doing on road on a dirt bike, and, unless you really, really, lean them over, you're not going to have a problem with the profile on the edges. Maybe they wear a bit faster - but they're not too expensive anyway.

I was behind Bob so could see exactly what these tyres were doing. I've also been out with another rider (a young US guy on a CRF250F who used to race track and sumo - a good rider) who said the same. A pisser for Bob but not easy riding a heavy bike with the wrong tyres in v. slippery conditions, and when you've not got the longest legs. :o

As someone once said "I'll be back" tyres next week but short legs are here to stay !!!
