I’ve seen this GPS in the local Aldi super market (Germany) on paper it looks really quite good for the price, only 149 Euros, around 6,000 Baht.
Interesting spec with a 3’ Touch screen, 8 GB built in memory & a Micro SD card slot.
I know it won’t be comparable to the top of the range Garmin’s, but would but what about a bottom of the range Garmin? Some web info here below. (You might need to translate as it’s in German)

MEDION® GoPal® S3867

MEDION GoPal S3867 im Test ? pocketnavigation.de | Navigation | GPS | Blitzer | POIs

Like me the Germans I’m working with don’t know much about GPS only the car types.
Do you think it’s possible to put the ride Asia maps on it? It mentions OSM (open source maps) in some of the information.

Their website states "Eigene OSM-Karten unterstützt das Navi allerdings nicht, der Nutzer kann nur den von MEDION aufbereiteten Datenbestand verwenden."

So to me it looks like that you can only use the pre-installed OSM maps for Europe as these have been converted by Medion and therefor you can not used other OSM maps. So the RideAsia maps and/or other Garmin maps as well as OSM maps for Asia will not work on the Medion.
