About an hours ride / 55km north of Chiang Mai is the Bua Tong Waterfall, often referred to as "The Sticky Waterfall". It attracted this name due to the limestone covering on the rockface, which has been created from the spring water flowing over the rock, making it abrasive and easy to walk up.

There are 3 levels to the waterfall. Parking is at the top where some of the water fall passes by. There is wooden stairs down, you can see a rope for assistance to help this part of the waterfall, when climbing up the waterfall rocks (they are very grippy)

Down 50 stairs & this is the middle section

The rope would be at the top of the photo

The best section is the 3rd section down
