I have now done a few thousand km's on the 500X and wish to know if anyone has had the same problems that I seem to have.
1. The front break has little feel about it, is there any recommendations maybe for different brake pads
2. The back break, seems to be totally useless, have to push incredibly hard for basically Zero result. Any suggestions

Get yourself into the gym Mick and work on them calf muscles :RE

Maybe it's the ABS that's affecting the perceived feel of the Front Brake !? It's not always obvious that it's assisting but has saved me more than a few times in situations where my non ABS KLX250 would have failed me. After 28K and coming from someone who was heavy on the front braking I'd say the Brakes are good , very good. The rears are usually only 20-30 percent as powerful as the front anyway !?

Maybe check the Honda Forums anyhow ?

The brakes on my CBR500R have been fine for a few thousand km, nothing wrong with them.

Did you try another CB500 to see if the brakes perform better?

I can't imagine anything wrong with a low-mileage Honda.

Only explanation I can come up with is that oil or grease is getting onto the discs.
