After seven years it was good to see the Harley Sportster setting off to its new life in Germany, I had six years of fun riding it but last year didn't enjoy riding it anymore so decided to sell it and move on

My brand new Honda CB500F which I am out having a fun time on, the only modifications so far are two pairs of the soft spongy handlebar grips which makes a more pleasant riding experience

Congratulations Colin!

A nice red Honda for you, good choice. Despite promises they still don't have the 500's at the dealerships here.

Best Regards,
Kev

Awesome Colin, congrats on the new toy. What was it that you did not enjoy about the HD?

Looks great in red Colin, nice trailer those guy's had....

Excellent choice Colin.
'Catchy' shirt too! :RE

How much is the 500F over there?
Please keep us 'in the picture' with your opinions about it as you add the miles.

Nice one Colin, well done. And tie ya bloody bootlaces up before you set off hahahah! I've had a loose lace fouled with the gear shift before...... wee bit embarrassing when you come to a set of lights! :lol3

+1 on the congratulations Colin, looks just right on you.

After dieting from 80kg down to 63kg last year I was not comfortable riding it, the loss of fat played havoc with riding in that position, I found my CBF125 Honda more comfortable in that respect. Its nice to now have a fun bike that stops quickly when I apply the brakes plus goes around corners a lot better

The F is £4650, the R and X models are £4950

Colin - will be interesting to see your views after say 5,000km, although I'm sure you'll still think it's an excellent choice, this bike is the Kawasaki's nightmare for sure in Thailand economically and practically.

Looks really nice that slash,,,Ime confused though why you bought it in the UK ,,with all the second hand bargains to be had,
I would not have bought the Versys or the KLX I have in Los in the UK,
I respect your viewpoint that's why Ime asking,,it must be a terrific bike, but the choice is so wast at at home.
safe riding mate

I only buy new bikes, second hand ones don't interest me at all. It ticks all the right boxes for me so I bought it, it will go faster then I want to go so why buy something bigger/faster/heavier

makes sense Colin. I'm sure I spotted a red CB500X too near Euston Station last week.
