Bamboo Tattoo

As far as I know, the Bamboo Tattoos where fo8unded originally by the monky in South East Asia. Compare to a regular tattoo, the Bamboo Tattoos are less painfull.

I have found this link on the Internet :

Two years ago, I got my first Tattoo when travelling in the USA. Got it at Pismo Beach, CA.

Well and now I am told about the Bamboo Tattoos and wonna get a second Tattoo:cool:

There is a good place at the top end of Loi Kroh Road in CNX across from the 7 Eleven, his work is very good.

Are you referring to the Thai traditional tattoo's, the Sak Yant?
They used to be done by hand, indeed with bamboo sticks, now they use a metal needle on a long stick.

A Sak Yant comes with rules of conduct and in my opinion should not be treated or taken lighthearted.
Here are some rules and an informative website: Rules of Sak Yant | Sak Yant Thai Temple Tattoos

Search Sak Yant on Youtube, there is a whole lot of video's how they are done.

I like original Sak Yants but I am ink free myself :p

Will let you know Marcel wanting some more ink soon :-)

Saw the design on facebook Bob, that will be done with a more modern machine right??

I would be careful with evaluating any artist who uses Bamboo.. It can be done very well, but many people seem to go for the 'ethnic tattoo' deal and put up with sub par work simply because its a 'traditional tattoo'.. Bamboo works well for text and lines.. Less well for shading and color.

There was a really good bamboo artist on Phuket, but they are few and far between IMO.

I got a bamboo tattoo........

I guess I am not tough enogh to get this job done on my body:LOL. that looks really scary. Guess I will go ahead and will get me a second regular tattoo......

Also I am not sure, if I can keep the rules like
10. Do not let a Woman Lie on Top of You, or Sit on Top either.
Do not drink alcohol

I have to change my sex life - at least the positions that I like:D
and as a Bavarian, it will be hard for me to quit our excellent beers:kboom

Thanks for your help. Seriously, I have to think twice to go for a Baboo Tattoo

100% agree..i've got several made with both techniques.depends on design.for solid blocks and tribal bamboo works just fine.machine is generally more sharp in details and shading.depending on the artist, with machine can achieve almost picture like design
