With the limited colour options for the 2012 Honda CRF 250 L I opted for the white model knowing I would have to do something with it, the White Pony being too Freudian for me I guess. I was thinking decals but out of the blue I meandered past an airbrush shop near Airport Plaza so I thought I would check it out.

The Keeper shop is located on Hang Dong Road about 200 meters north of Mahidol Rd Overpass. I think it is called Thipanet Road at that point. Coordinates: 18.771016,98.978759. Look for the red ramp outside the shop. Also, there is a shoe store next door.

Khun Kay is the owner and a really cool guy. He speaks great English and owns his share of motorbikes: Buells, Ducatis and more.

Here is Kay doing his thing on a work in progress.

Being a sailor I chose a pirate motif. I am really excited about this and I will post updates as I get them. I think the bike will be ready tomorrow. I am just doing the number plate and front fender right now, but I will get some of the side panels done if the job is up to par! Oh, helmet being done as well. Prices to come.

Kay sells collectibles as well if you are into that stuff:

PS - Those helmets are airbrushed. What a decent way to get more pizazz out of a tired helmet.

Not to put a dampner on the guys shop but I always thought certain types of paints will damage thermoplastic helmets, not sure about composite materials. I personally wouldn't risk the integrity of my lid in favor of looking good.

How did I know that a certain someone would chime in on that one...

Yes, a dampener. How about starting another thread or private message before this runs off the rails?

I'll send you a PM if you untie you knickers and put your handbag away

Bike looks great JB can't wait to see it all finished and I'm sure your helmet will be spot on also,
Sorry for ruining your thread, wasn't my intention
Back on track........

Good find JB; looking forward to seeing the end product.
If it makes you happy it's good.

Looking good Jb.

Are you sure about these panels going on a bike that will possibly (don't shoot the messenger) be seeing a bit of down time in the jungle ;)

I thought I had cleaned the bike ok, but Kay is a perfectionist! Here he is with a final polish.

I was NOT getting psyched about those clouds! Yes, of course, it started pouring buckets.

Kay with his daughters. I was "iffy" about doing the job at first, but seeing how cool he was with his daughters, I had to go forward.

I am totally satisfied with the job. All aspects of it. I will post the cost in a few days so no one has a heart attack, but I will say there were 3 levels of coatings and I went with the high-end paints. Thanks Khun Kay! You RAWWWWK!

(I will get some close-up photos up soon)

Quick stop at Honda. Look at all those available service reps!

(Note: It WAS a holiday and I may have been the ONLY customer, BUT...they were all psyched to see the bike)

Khun Tum/Edward and Khun Ae. Edward has started a CRF club and I think they will meet at Thapae Gate on Saturdays which I understand is a growing event for all brands of bikes. I will try to get more information soon.

Edward just bought his own CRF. He is psyched about it!

Thank you Honda for the free screws and studs that were misplaced in the process.

Well, that's one unique CRF you have there mate.
Sensational attention grabber.
I know if I ride with you I'll have a relatively quiet time!

Yes, please share more about the CRF Club.

Thank you Honda for the free screws

Darn!
I bought mine from the wrong dealer. :bash

Stunning Jb, great to see plenty of smiles :)

Will Kh Kay be signing up as "The Keeper" here on the forum ?

You must be relieved now you have your bike dressed again!

Ally

Thanks Ally! Yeah, I will push Kay to get on the forum.

Yes, happy camper.

Looks great JB, hope you're not gonna crash too much with those nice plastics ;)!

It may be you're camera but it all looks a little too out of focus/soft for my liking. Maybe different in the flesh.

Either way, it is great that there is someone in CM who can do this personalised work and I'm sure he will be getting some more business. I know it has got me thinking.

Paintjob done :) Very pleased with the results. Pictures are a bit dark (phone camera)
