A Very Cold UK May Day Holiday Weekend

Sunday 131 km

A pleasant sunny start although a cold temperature which was supposed to rise as the day went on





Lots of workers out in the field

This lane had a bit too much loose debris in its centre









Very cold water I would expect

Now the sun has disappeared and the temperature is dropping



The Racton monument I found and rode offroad to last year





A new Triumph but don't see many with a sidecar attached

These agreed with me it was getting a lot colder now and as my hands and feet were cold I rode home from here

The dog seemed to not be bothered by the cold

One last pork chop was found in the freezer and the sweetcorn was a good companion

Monday 212 km

Mondays ride was more overcast from the word go









Some pleasant small villages were rode through





I am trying to find the old tree somewhere north of Andover that I forgot to waypoint last year but I cant remember which back track it was on









Finally the cat has had enough of being photographed and gets down



After a lot of trying different roads I find it but once again its a gloomy day like it was last year when I found it and no good photos can be had





Now to clock up more miles ready for the 6000 mile service the bike gets next saturday





The horses are kicking up dust from where the soil is so dry





Not quite so cold today but still a big disappointment after our very hot Easter holiday

Beef with roast potatoes, cabbage, Yorkshire puddings and gravy went down very well
