Just after 5PM, there's a few guys on road bikes that ride up Doi Suthep most evenings.
It's a good time to do it, as by then, there aren't many tourists headed up the mountain, so the road is pretty clear going up. They stop at the last lookout over Chiang Mai before that last switch back to the temple (Wat Phratat Doi Suthep Ratchaworawihan).
There's often a group of Thai riders doing the same thing, most of them on Ducati's.
The sunset views can be quite spectacular, this is looking east (away from the west setting sun), so quite unusual to see the rays
