5-11-18 Chiang Mai, The Mae Tip And Thi Reservoirs

Distance 104 km

I quickly got onto the small side roads once to the east of H 11

That water was high not too long ago

There was a convoy of four of these trucks carrying the bales and they took a bit of getting past on these narrow roads

This road wasnt on the map so it was investigate time

Well abandoned along here

The Thi reservoir

This one is not far below capacity

The narrow bridge allows me to cross over to the crest of the dam

Another new find from todays ride that linked up two other roads

A short cut turns to unpaved

Mae Tip reservoir

The two reservoirs are not far apart but this one is quite a lot lower

An awful lot of this stuff growing here now

Those two diggers will be busy here for ages

I guess it might rot down for compost

Now to ride home

Looks like you had a good day. The abandoned houses - I see lots of them in Indonesia too and it always strikes me as a bit odd. Doesn't take long for the vegetation to take over. Thanks for sharing.
